A color change that also guards the paint
A vinyl wrap changes what your vehicle looks like without touching the paint underneath. ECOPAL offers custom colors and finishes in high-quality film, applied for durability and a seamless result, so the change reads as one clean surface instead of a patchwork of panels.
The film also acts as an extra layer over the clear coat against minor scratches and UV rays, which is why a wrap suits a vehicle you want to change and protect at the same time. It is a thin colored layer, though, not armor. If rock chips on the highway are what worry you, clear paint protection film is the product built for that, and the two can be talked through together when you ask for a quote.
Colors and finishes are chosen with the vehicle in front of us. Tell us the year, make and model and the look you have in mind, and we will explain what that film does on your particular panels.
Edge-wrapping and heat application on Tesla and Cybertruck panels
Tesla and Cybertruck work is a specialty here, and it comes down to two techniques the team uses on purpose: edge-wrapping and heat application. They are the difference between a wrap that looks painted and one that shows its seams.
Heat is what makes vinyl pliable enough to stretch over a curve and settle into a recess, then relax into its final shape. Edges are where a wrap lives or dies, because film lifts first where it turns around the edge of a panel. Wrapping the film around the edge and setting it with heat means the finish follows the line of the body instead of stopping short of it.
A Cybertruck is mostly flat planes and sharp creases, so there is nowhere for a sloppy seam to hide. The work happens in the Lewisville studio under hexagon LED inspection lighting, with industrial-grade air filtration keeping dust from getting under fresh film.
Matte black, other colors, and how matte is looked after
Matte black is one of the finishes we wrap, and the matte-black Camaro in the photo above shows how a flat black film swallows light and lets the shape of the car do the talking. Other colors and finishes are available too, so bring a swatch, a photo, or just a description.
Matte care is different from gloss care. A matte surface works by scattering light, so polish, glaze and gloss-enhancing waxes fill in that texture and leave shiny patches. Wash by hand with a pH-balanced soap and a clean microfiber towel, skip the brush-style car wash, and blot the surface dry instead of rubbing it.
Ask when you book and we will walk through the care for your exact film, so the finish stays the one you chose.
